Spring in Flames

I believe this is year seven for me saying goodbye to winter with a hearty bonfire made by art students at Linfield University in Oregon. It has begun to fascinate me how the anticipation before each event builds before ending with a low-glow wondrous silence that leads to soft goodbyes to past mistakes while welcoming a rebirth of sorts that leaves one hopeful and looking forward. I’ve always loved staring into flames, as there appears to be a transformative power words can’t quite describe.
